Nearly 70% of the energy consumed worldwide comes from fossil fuels, which are CO2 emitters. Reindustrialization, the electrification of current usages, and the emergence of new applications such as artificial intelligence present challenges in finding new energy sources. Additionally, moving away from dependence on fossil fuels by 2050 while maintaining growth requires finding massive, stable, and safe energy sources. Fusion appears to be a tremendous opportunity to provide power, stability, and sovereignty to the energy mix.
